B&W is a classic NJ German bakery first opened in 1948 by original owners Boehringer & Weimer. The no-frills spot in Bergen County offers your standard bakery items like breakfast pastries, cookies, and cakes, but lines form outside on weekend mornings for the main attraction—their classic NJ crumb cake.

We grew up eating B&W crumb cake for special occasions, and any North Jersey native will agree that buying Entenmanns from the grocery store is a waste when you can just stop in Hackensack for the best crumb cake in the country.
