Insane PD without using the Cryo Grid cheese, running a Gunner+Tech+Recon team with TinyBuddha and MDFashionCo. Had a pretty rocky start with some silly FF from me, and a lag spike meaning I accidentally repaired Bravo to full mid-game, but it ended up being pretty straightforward after that!

The time-tested strat is to just hold Charlie, and let Alpha and Bravo fall, then get them almost-repaired before the wave 3, then do a rush at the end of wave 3 to repair A and B. Here's the strat in-detail:
For team comp, you want a Recon for ammo (you won't have time to go for ammo boxes), then something for bursting down hard targets (either Blood Hound on the Recon and/or Gunner's overclock - much easier if you have both). You have some latitude, but main thing is having ammo + some kind of team DPS booster.
As for consumables, you generally want to bring in Hardened Shock and Flame Turrets, as these cost more at the PD store than Cryos and Drones.
1) When you start, you can immediately buy some consumables from the store. Over the course of the game, as a team you want to buy 3 Drones and 4 or so Cryos, then the rest of the credits should be spent on Hardened Turrets, so organise amongst your teammates who's getting what.
2) For the first wave, just defend wherever the surge happens - you don't need to be on the point itself, it's safer to be slightly away from the point. When the point goes down, all the stuff will aggro on you, so just fall back to another Point, let that take aggro, then mop up.
3) Make sure Charlie is fully repaired, but if Alpha and Bravo go down, you want to only part-repair them (leave them at 90% or so). If they're still offline, they won't take any damage or pull aggro from the enemies. Over the course of Waves 1 and 2, you want them both to go down and them part-repair them so you can very quickly bring them back online at the end.
4) From wave 2 onwards, you just want to be defending Charlie. Once you have the Cryos and Drones, everyone should be buying hardened turrets. Place around 6 or 7 total all around Charlie, these do wonders for pulling aggro away from the point. Make sure not to dillydally, all turrets are on a timer and will self-destruct if you wait too long. The cheese exploit is to place a cryo on the broken wall that they vault over to enter the area, as this blocks them from entering the arena, but this is absolutely not necessary even on Insane - you can simply place a Cryo everytime you hear an elite spawning from there if you want to do it legitimately. Use one Drone when you get an Elite or a big Special wave.
5) During the waves, Recon should be placing ammo down as soon as it’s off cooldown. Focus on anything attacking Charlie, save your big DPS boosters like Overclock for elites, and burst them down together as a team. You can repair the point during your reload animations if you want to be efficient about it.
6) For wave 3, make sure everyone has used the spare medkits, and then place all your remaining turrets around the point. Use your drones and defend like hell, then at about 30s, one teammate runs and repairs Alpha, another goes for Bravo, and the last guy stays at Charlie to defend it. If you’ve timed it right, you’ll repair Alpha and Bravo a little before the timer hits 0, after which all the points are invincible, so you just need to make it to the extract.
