Reading diagnostic flash fault codes for a 1996 Peugeot 306 using a Haynes PFCR, a test light or an oscilloscope. This car has a Bosch Motronic MP5.1 engine management computer and a 1.6 litre TU5 JP (NFZ) engine.
This type of fault code indication was quite common in PSA Group vehicles (Peugeot and Citroen) up until around 1997.
In this video I attempt to describe the flash code system, show how to use a Haynes PFCR professional fault code reader, a test light and oscilloscope to read these codes and show these devices in use.
