This piriformis-focused yoga practice is designed to stretch and strengthen the deep hip muscles that often contribute to hip pain, lower back discomfort, and sciatic irritation.
The piriformis is a small but powerful muscle that helps stabilise the hips and pelvis. When it becomes tight or weak, it can create tension through the hips, glutes, and lower back.
In this practice, we combine gentle strengthening and targeted stretching to help the muscle release safely while building support around it.
In this session, you’ll:
🌙 Stretch the piriformis and surrounding deep hip muscles
🔥 Strengthen the hips and glutes for better pelvic stability
💫 Improve mobility through the hips and lower spine
🦋 Reduce tension that can contribute to hip and lower back pain
