TL: Midtown [Burnaby] - Eastbound - Nov 2025

Описание: A decent route -- often separated or on very low-volume streets -- which starts off downhill, then is mostly flat, and finishes off with a long uphill. However, there are numerous turns to take and almost none of them are signed so it's virtually impossible to follow the route unless you study it very very carefully in advance. More annoyingly, crosswalk signals don't change automatically so you'll need to wait a full light cycle most of the time if you want to obey them and cross safely. Combined with the terrible intersection of Kensington and Canada Way, it can be quite unpleasant.

Note that you can avoid that terrible intersection (which took literally over 4 minutes to cross, in 3 stages) by continuing along Deer Lake Ave (on the road) which crosses Canada Way later via Sperling and then rejoins at Claude Ave. See    • Midtown | Deer Lake alt. via Sperling - Ea...  

It looks like the on-road section at the new Burnaby Lake overpass (still under construction at the time of filming) will be replaced with a paved path going between the homes and the highway, which is good.

Continue east or west via Southeast (13th or 12th respectively). Soon the route will continue south into New Westminster as shown, with a light at 10th Ave, connecting to a new bike route along 4th St.
