In this talk, Krishna Kumar explains the fundamentals of the spectral algebraic geometry and gives us as a basis for the rest of the series.
After a crash course on schemes and moduli stacks, we introduce the notions of spectral schemes and Deligne-Mumford stacks via the ∞-topoi version. The main category of study- the Spectral Deligne-Mumford stacks, SpDM, is then portrayed as a bridge between the world of spectral schemes and Deligne-Mumford stacks. To this end, we give a reconstruction of the Tannaka Duality and ask natural questions in this framework, which would ideally be answered in the upcoming talks.
