Amid the unusually high water levels, we leave our island site on McKenzie Bay for a day of paddling to our site at the end of Kawnipi.
The next day we head into Montgomery Lake. Pleasantly surprised that the 2021 fire left the portage trail, and the far end of the lake unburnt.
An unsuccessful attempt to locate the Cole pictographs up the creek from Montgomery.
Then heading to McDougall Lake.
A great trip so far.
