This topic explores what emotions are, how they work, and why they matter. Students learn that emotions are complex responses involving three parts:
Physiological arousal (body changes like heart rate or sweating)
Expressive behaviors (facial expressions, gestures, body language)

The unit also covers major theories of emotion:
