Red Canyon Jeep trail is a very easy trail and perfect for beginners. Although high clearance is recommended, you don't need to engage 4x4 at all. Trail head is just south of the Chico Summit / General Patton museum, 1 exit east of Joshua Tree Cottonwood exit.
This video was day 1 & 2 of our 3 day trip. We were planning on a Death Valley trip but the "storm of the year" was about to hit Socal so we took a calculated risk and changed it to Salton Sea + Anza Borrego. So, instead of 4-6" of rain/snow, we ended up with about 1/3" of rain.
