I tried to use different combinations of stops throughout this including a solo clarinet stop on the penultimate verse.
The tune was composed by a Yorkshire born man called Handel Parker. He played the flute in the Drum and Fife Band and at just 14 played the local parish organ.
At 20 he became a professional musician and teaching the flute, violin and trombone and also played and conducted brass bands in West Yorkshire.
He gave organ recitals and was organist and choirmaster at the cathedral in Nassau, Bahamas fro some time.
