The driving force is a Cello-like drone, manifesting as long, sustained bowed notes. This organic, deeply textured sound moves fluidly across the lower and mid-ranges, acting as a massive, oscillating membrane. As these notes are modulated, filter resonance captures and amplifies the harmonics, generating shimmering, high-pitch resonance that tenuously fills the upper spectrum of frequencies—the sound of structure momentarily escaping the silence.

This entire sonic event is submerged within a bed of low-frequency white noise. This layer is the atmosphere of the Long Now itself—a persistent texture resembling wind moving through colossal, empty caverns or vast, desolate fields in the deep evening.
