Hyderabadi Chicken Curry Recipe:
Prep Time - 5 mins
Cooking Time - 25 mins
Serves: 4
(Tsp-Teaspoon; Tbsp-Tablespoon; Cup - 250 ml)
Ingredients For Restaurant Style Hyderabadi Chicken Curry
To marinate chicken:
Chicken 600 gms
1/2 cup curd
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1.5 tbsp kashmiri chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
3/4 tsp garam masala
1/2 cup coriander leaves, chopped
1/2 cup mint leaves, chopped
1 tsp ginger garlic paste

3 tbsp oil
2 medium onion, sliced

1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp tomato puree
1/2 cup water
coriander and mint leaves to garnish

Method:
Marinate the chicken with ingredients under "to marinate chicken". Allow the chicken to marinate 30 mins to 1 hour. You can also marinate it overnight in the refrigerator.
Heat a pan with oil of your choice, add the sliced onions and saute until it turns golden brown in colour. It will take 10 mins to turn the onions into golden brown.
Once the onions are golden brown in colour add in the marinated chicken pieces. Add salt. Mix well on high flame for 2 mins.
Add tomato puree and water, mix well; cover and reduce the flame to low and cook for 10 mins.
After 10 mins, open the lid and stir then allow it to simmer for another 5 mins covered.
Once the gravy is thickened, sprinkle some chopped coriander and mint leaves.
Serve hot with roti, naan, rice of your choice.
