A course in miracles Lesson 69 "My grievances hide the light of the world in me".

Описание: About me: I went to Rishikesh in the mid-nineties. Luckily. My life had for many years been chaotic and turbulent in many aspects. I had to find a new way. Like so many other westeners before me I went to India. I had no plan and didn´t know where to go. After a few confusing days in New Delhi, one Indian gentleman finally told me: “Go up to Rishikesh – you will find what you’re looking for.”

After a month in an ashram I was sorry to go home and asked the wonderful Hindu monk
who had rented the ashram where I learned some valuable techniques – Sri Sri Ravi
Shankar – if I could become one of his entourage of happy people in white clothes and
spread his knowledge. He asked me if I was happy in the ashram. I answered yes. He asked
me if I felt peace inside. I answered yes. “Do you find our breathing techniques useful?” he
asked. I answered yes to that too and thought that “this is going well” – hopefully he will let
me stay on and continue this journey toward enlightenment.

Instead he said: go back to your life in Sweden, to your job and everyday routine and if you
can feel the loving acceptance to everything and everyone, only if it is one percent of all the
encounters and events that will occur – that’s good. I was very disappointed as my life in
Stockholm seemed gloomy and trying in comparison to the paradise on the shore of
Ganges. And I went back.

And Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was right. I soon lost the calm and harmony and was in the
reactive, judging mood that had had me in its grip since my teens. And something – a seed
of something else – had landed in me.

In many spiritual books that I read after this trip to India, A Course in Miracles was
mentioned over and over again. So I bought the book. Didn’t like it. A demanding voice
spoke to me from the pages. For many years I didn’t open it. Then people I very much rely
on spoke of it. I started listening to @Moojiji, @Marianne Williamson and @Eckhart Tolle around 2016. And others who all show us the ways of light in a beautiful way.
