I Am Nobody
It's not knowledge that I crave
I crave to bear an existence
Yet can't seem to succeed
In anything I find
So unholy
Too unique
So very praised
Not something with feathers, though
Hope is something I leave behind
Are your words of any worth?
Are the lines arranged with care?
I do write this letter to you
In the hope that it's enough
To move kindly and considerately
All the more, reading your words
It feeds the spirit, and breaks the chains
Of the common world
Yet the being, is broken also
Quietly and unnoticed by others
I do fear to lay my hand to rest
Upon these words
That hold no worth to me
After breaking the spirit
In the search for the meaning thereof
And so this is it to be deeply saddened
But not of character, nor by conditions
Given to some and never taken for granted
By me
I am nobody, who are you?
