MC backstory:

ELIZAVETA von Valanicus

Her story begins years before on the Imperial World of Thical in the Calixis sector, the seat of the Cardinal of the Drusus Marches. On this world of ancient laws and restrictive customs, Elizaveta grew up in relative safety and comfort thanks to her family's ancient links to a certain House von Valancius.

That all changed the day she spontaneously manifested her psychic powers during a sermon at the High Temple of Saint Drusus the Savior. Promptly shipped off to Terra aboard a Black Ship, Elizaveta learned to control her powers and use them for the good of the Imperium, but not before nearly succumbing to the sanctioning process.

Elizaveta is a figure of unyielding strength and conviction, fully aware of the lurking horrors. Her allegiance is unwavering, firmly planted in the Imperium and the God-Emperor (in her eyes, one and the same). She is a staunch advocate for caution, always preferring an excessive seal to a lack thereof.

When the summons came, Elizaveta served the Imperium far from the Expanse. She was surprised but did not question the path the God-Emperor had laid out for her. After many months and warp jumps, she finally boarded the von Valancius flagship, the Spirt of Calyx, which is where we first meet her in the game.

In more technical terms, Elizaveta is a Sanctic Psyker/Officer and quite Dogmatic. The focus is on roleplaying, not just fighting and mechanics (although those are important too).
