Gallidosopods [ɡˈalɪdˌə͡ʊsəpˌɒdz]
n., plural; common name of the cephalopod species 𝘕𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘶𝘴 𝘨𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘥𝘰𝘴𝘶𝘴, believed to be the guardians of the gate between the sea of dreams and our physical reality.
Bears a strong physical resemblance to 𝘕. 𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘶𝘴, with a notable golden, ethereal glow seen by the naked eye.
It is known that physical spirits require a physical anchor to connect them to the material plane, and gallidosopods manifest near such physical anchors for feeding.
Gallidosopods have been observed sparingly in history, accompanied by fantastical tales and inconsistent descriptions, leading many to believe they are but a mere illusion of light.
