In Himachal Pradesh, arrears for pensioners and family pensioners aged 70 and above will be paid before January 31. This will cost approximately ₹90 crore. Additionally, Class IV employees who retired between January 1, 2016, and December 31, 2021, will also receive 50 percent of their outstanding gratuity and 70 percent of their leave encashment in January. This announcement was made by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in Pragpur, Kangra district, on the occasion of Himachal Pradesh's Statehood Day. The Chief Minister also announced the opening of an SDM office in Pragpur and a Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Nalsuha.
