Описание:
This machine assembles two parts together by screwing them together then cinching them together with high torque. An operator loads the parts onto nests in the system and presses a button to start the operation. The robot grasps one part, positions it, the threads it onto the other part. When it is completely treaded, a second motion driven from under the table applies high torque to keep the parts together. The finished assembly is removed from the nest and placed on an out-feed rail freeing the nests for the operator to load the next set.
The system handles many different part assemblies with no tooling changes. The parts have cosmetic finishes on their external surfaces so all grasping is on internal surfaces.
