Timelapse - Textile photography and accessioning

Описание: This timelapse shows the process of accessioning and photographing textiles from the Global Indigenous Arts collection. These textiles are just a portion of a collection of more than 10,000 objects that are part of the project "Accessioning and photographing a historic collection of global art/culture at the Spencer Museum of Art." This project is funded through the Humanities Collections and Reference Resources program of the National Endowment for the Humanities.

The Spencer Museum of Art became the stewards of this collection after its transfer from the Anthropological Research and Cultural Collections in 2007. Spencer Museum staff continues to work diligently to catalogue and research these collections, their origins, and their multi-faceted meanings in an effort to make them available to researchers, visitors and members of descendant communities who have an interest in learning more about these wonderful objects of significance and wonder.
