There was Fungus in this Leica Elmarit R 28mm 1:2.8, in the most inner lens in the 2 lens assembly but it was "easy" to take away with lighter fluid, and turn out to be very good.
It's not that difficult to get in to, just be aware of the little steele ball for the aperture and the very little spring.
Also make some small marks before disassemble the lens assembly, so the aperture is set to the right position.
In this film I begin with a 2mm flathead screwdriver, then at around 2:30 I use a JIS 00 (modified PH00, file the sharp tip off a little).
When taken off the bajonet, take care of the little steele ball and spring, shown at 3:06- 3:16, that are part of the aperture ring click...!
