Summer 2024 has turned out to be full of surprises! Thanks to Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner and the equipment failures they've been having, SC44 engines breaking down and shortage of cab cars, railfans up and down the coast of Southern California have been treated with Amtrak Dash-8s and NPCU (Former F40PH) units. In this video the chase is on, catching AMTK #503 lead a northbound surfliner from San Diego's Santa Fe Depot to Los Angeles' Union Passenger Terminal (LAUPT). I guarantee that this video has the best K5LA horn shows ever from 503 caught on video. Thanks for watching!
