Migrants receive warm meals in freezing Belgrade

Hundreds of migrants lined up in the freezing snow outside a makeshift shelter in the Serbian capital, Belgrade, on Tuesday, to receive a warm meal from aid groups.
The migrant men and boys, mostly from Afghanistan and Pakistan, have occupied an abandoned customs warehouse by Belgrade's bus station as they seek ways to move on toward Western Europe.
Outside they try to keep warm by walking around the warehouse and huddling around fires.
Inside, temperatures are not much warmer despite aid groups' attempts to heat the huge space, and migrants light fires that spew smoke into their living quarters.
Some have put up tents inside the sprawling complex and wrapped themselves in blankets provided by aid groups.
One migrant said he shared his tent with another two people, but that he still could not sleep at night from the cold.
Aid groups have warned that migrants have been in danger of freezing as extremely low temperatures and heavy snow grip Serbia and much of Eastern Europe.
