Описание: Paradise Lost is considered the greatest poem of English literature. The poet John Milton essentially attempted to rewrite the story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. How did he achieve this? In the first verse of the poem, Milton calls upon the same spirit that helped the authors of the Bible write the book that has outlived empires and stone. The fascinating thing is that Milton seemed to be aware of what he was attempting, and was commencing on an adventure. And the mind boggling part is that he seemed to have actually succeeded in rewriting a section of the Bible. Hence, the Holy Spirit replied to his summoning. Let me explain!
