Trams is a popular activity for visitors to Lisbon. Especially Tram 28, known to the locals as the sardine box since it is packed with tourists holding cameras. We had read a number of online stories about pickpockets and crime on these trams so we decided to try a different experience.
Visit the Tram Museum (Museu de Carris). Besides the well laid out galleries, you can go visit all the antique trams including a ride on Tram # 1 from 1901
