Antique Edwardian / Victorian Knox New York Extra Quality top hat

A great piece of New York City history. Unrestored, original condition. The outer crown has some light wear. The "felt" is in good condition with no tears, rips, holes, etc. Inside, there are tears on the left side, and right side lining. The sweat band is original to the hat, with embroidered company logo, and has some browning. Inside, the company logo reads "Extra Quality - Registered - Moveo Et Proficio - Knox New York".

Top hats were named "beaver hats" well after they stopped being made with real beaver fur. This one feels and looks like real beaver. Believed to have been manufactured between 1890 and 1920.
