Abandoned mine exploration in New Zealand led me to some incredible historic mining ruins hidden in the wilderness. This urban exploration adventure uncovered massive ore hoppers and abandoned mining equipment dating back over 100 years.
What started as searching for abandoned mine shafts turned into climbing sketchy mining structures that probably shouldn't still be standing. The historic mining equipment at this abandoned site is some of the most impressive stuff I've found while exploring abandoned places in NZ.
Amazing to see this piece of New Zealand mining history slowly being reclaimed by nature - glad I could document it before it's completely forgotten.
🔍 Please don't steal artifacts from historic sites - ruins it for everyone else who wants to explore these places.
⚠️ WARNING: Abandoned mines are extremely dangerous. Unstable ground, shafts, flooding, and potential collapses. Don't attempt without proper safety gear and experience.
