Attorneys Fight Over Sarah Boone’s Testimony in Boyfriend’s Suitcase Murder Trial

Описание: After being questioned by her defense attorney, attorneys for both the state and defense argued over Sarah Boone’s statements and the timeline she gave about her boyfriend’s murder, along with whether or not it had been established that Boone had been abused. The judge heard both sides and said he needed to review case law before ruling on whether or not Boone had proved any sort of battered spouse syndrome ,and the defense could further question her about previous reputation and actions allegedly made by Jorge Torres Jr.

Florida woman Sarah Boone is accused of killing her boyfriend after she allegedly zipped him up inside a suitcase and left him to die. Jorge Torres Jr. suffocated to death inside Boone’s Winter Park home. Boone claims they were playing hide-and-seek, she forgot he was inside the suitcase, and she fell asleep. Video evidence from the night of Torres Jr.’s death shows the victim inside the suitcase yelling for help while Boone records the video and laughs. Boone called 911 the next day saying her boyfriend was dead. She was arrested for second-degree murder.
