In this video, we install Pop!_OS 24.04 LTS and take a deep look at its real-world performance.
From booting the ISO and completing a clean installation to reviewing the COSMIC desktop, system configuration, and updates, we analyze how Pop!_OS behaves out of the box.
We evaluate system information, boot time, and memory usage, then move into detailed Sysbench tests covering CPU, threads, mutexes, memory, and disk I/O.
Finally, we test Firefox memory consumption under increasing load and compare the results with other Linux and BSD systems to see where Pop!_OS truly stands.
