Join me on my very first hike up Monument Hill on the Gila and Salt River Point Trail in Arizona’s Estrella Mountain Regional Park!
I started out early (you never know with those Arizona summer temps!) and wasn’t sure what to expect. The trail itself is short but a bit of a workout, mostly desert vegetation on the way up, but the reward at the top is incredible.
From breathtaking 360° views of the West Valley to spotting the Phoenix Raceway (yes, you can even catch a free view of the NASCAR races from up here 🏁), this quick adventure was worth every step.
If you’re looking for an easy but rewarding hike near Phoenix, Monument Hill is a hidden gem.
