Alliant Reloder 15 is a medium slow burning powder. It’s suitable for cartridges from .223 through .308. Despite being made in Sweden, it was chosen by the US military to be used in the M118. It’s an extruded powder, but it’s a rather small extrusion so it still meters well in your progressive presses. Powder that are comparable are Hodgdon H380 and VihtaVuori N140.
Alliant Reloder 15 powder is the US military’s choice for the M118 special ball long range sniper round, but it works wonderfully with a wide variety of calibers. It is consistent in all temperatures and is one of the best universal medium speed rifle powders available. Alliant reloder 15 has been excelling in .223 and .308 calibers, but will also perform magnificently in silhouette recipes.
