we replaced our electric glass cooktop with a propane gas stove in our farmhouse kitchen.
this project included removing the cooktop and downdraft vent, widening the countertop opening, modifying the cabinet underneath, running the propane line from the basement, and relocating the electrical outlet so the range could slide into place.
another small step forward as we continue building our family compound here on our tennessee farm.
basic steps for this project
• turn off power and disconnect the cooktop
• remove the glass cooktop and downdraft vent
• widen the countertop opening
• modify the cabinet opening underneath
• run the propane line to the stove location
• relocate the electrical outlet if needed
• slide the range into place and test the burners
