Dye Time #4: Natural Dyeing Yarn with Walnuts

In this video I have a go at some natural dyeing. I dye 100g yarn in walnuts that I've foraged. This video explains how to extract the tannin to make the dye bath, then how to dye yarn with the dye you've extracted. At the end, I compare two skeins of yarn, both dyed with walnuts. One was dyed with 6-8 walnuts, one was dyed with a bucket load of walnuts.
The yarn used is 100g of 4ply superwash merino/tussah silk blend with stellina to make it sparkle.
