Jesus declares in John 10:14–15 (NIV):

God is not the kind of shepherd who waits at a distance He comes after us, even in our darkest hour.

Luke 5:32 is the key scripture for this song:
“I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
This is the heartbeat of the Gospel. God didn’t come for the perfect, but for the broken.

God meets us where we are. He doesn’t wait for us to clean ourselves up first.

Even after Jesus was crucified, He met Thomas in his doubt and fear in John 20:19–31. Jesus came through locked doors to reach him. That’s the kind of Savior He is—one who pursues us, even in our unbelief, trauma, or addiction.

The Apostle Paul, who wrote most of the New Testament, was once a violent persecutor of Christians. But God transformed him into one of the greatest voices of the Gospel. His story proves that no one is beyond redemption.

Romans 3:23 says:
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
No exceptions. No illusions. We’ve all messed up.

But here's the truth that gives hope:
Romans 5:6-8 (NIV)
“You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly... God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
You don't have to be “good enough” for grace. You’re already loved enough.

You are WORTHY not because of what you’ve done, but because of what Jesus did.
You're worthy to rise.
You're worthy to be healed.
You're worthy to walk through the fire and come out as pure gold.

God's grace and mercy are infinite and available to all who repent and seek forgiveness through faith in Jesus Christ.
