A week ago, we happened to pass by this restaurant and were offered free samples of their chicken buttermilk percik. It was so good that we told ourselves we had to come back—and this time, bring Jacob and Ryan along.
So here we are.
We ordered the Set A, as recommended by the staff. It came with grilled lamb shoulder, a 1/4 chicken buttermilk percik rice meal, chicken spaghetti, cheesy fries, and mushroom soup. Ryan chose their burger.
The recommendation was spot on. The lamb was tender and flavorful, while the sides potatoes and stir-fried cabbage were well seasoned and satisfying. The burger was also a great choice, made with real chicken instead of processed meat.
The only slight letdown was the mushroom soup, which tasted a bit diluted. It wasn’t bad, just not as strong or creamy as expected.
What really stood out were the sauces. The meat came with three options: buttermilk, spicy buttermilk, and kicap, all served in bottles so you can pour as much as you like. On top of that, there was sambal and a sweet kicap sauce, which was the real highlight and it was absolutely delicious.
For drinks, we ordered the asam boi and iced lemon tea. The asam boi was incredibly refreshing, easily one of the best we’ve had. The iced lemon tea was free flow, which was a nice bonus.
Overall, this was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. Will we be back? Without a doubt.
