Since father, son & daughter Lap are not a band, I picked this name, for Paul, Laura & Bastiaan, also because they remind so much of great Peter, Paul & Mary. I hope however they soon will be a band and enjoy many people.
Paul Lap was about 35 years ago co-founder of The Plastic Paddies, a dutch band for Irish and scottisch folk and traditionals and stayed in the band until 2008.
Today he was in audience at the debut concert of acoustic duo Playing Dutchmen, of his son Bastiaan, as also Laura, the sister of Bastiaan, was.
Then after the concert, father started with spontaneously play of his beloved Irish songs and it felt like magic, so nice and harmoniously the three sang, indeed like Peter, Paul & Mary.
And some more to come, since father seemed only to be stoppable by the upcoming cold outside, it was so special.
March 8, 2026 at Boscafe Merlijn in Grafwegen, Germany.
