Zul'Aman - Music of WoW: Midnight

So yeah, I like the music here.
Not quite as strong as Haranadar's music, but it's still pretty decent.



You can definitely tell they took lots of inspiration from BfA's Zandalari music.
A lot of the same tones and instruments being used here.

I mean, I liked the BfA Zandalari music a lot, so I'm not against that.
Though, I do kinda wish they took more inspiration from Derek Duke's Zul'Aman music that he composed in Burning Crusade for the raid.
Maybe they could've brought back more of those melodies and tones he used.



I definitely think Leo Kaliski did the best job here, sort of combining the BfA Zandalari style and Derek Duke's style in his themes.
Helps that his themes use that same woodwind instrument that Derek used. Not sure what it's called, but it might be a traditional Aztec instrument?
You also hear this instrument in the "Troll Combat" theme by Neal Acree.

Jake Lefkowitz's "Akil'zon Loa" theme really reminds me of his music for Dragonflight, which I think fits in this case. Akil'zon is the eagle loa of victory, so it makes sense to have the theme be soaring and triumphant.



It's also cool to see Glenn Stafford continuing to compose WoW music, this time with his "Zul'Aman" theme. Of course, it's not as much music as he used to compose, but it's still neat.
