My mom is making dal pakwan this way since I was a child. Though Dal Pakwan is a popular sindhi breakfast dish, we used to have it for lunch of dinner. Cripsy pakwans with mush flavourful dal is a great combination and I just love it. To make this recipe I have used Disano Extra Light Olive Oil which is a versatile oil despite an Olive Oil. This can be used for daily Indian cooking and deep frying as well!

2 Cup All Purpose Flour (मैदा)
1/4 Tsp Cumin (जीरा)
1/8 Tsp Carom Seeds (अजवाइन)
Salt (नमक)
3 Tbsp Disano Extra Light Olive Oil (दिसानो जैतून का तेल)
Dal:
1 Cup Chickpea Split (चना दाल)
A pinch of Turmeric (हल्दी)
1/4 Tsp Cumin (जीरा)
2 Pinch Asafoetida (हींग)
1 Medium Onion (प्याज़)
1 Tsp Ginger Garlic Paste (अद्रक लहसुन पेस्ट)
A pinch of Turmeric (हल्दी)
1 Tsp Coriander Powder (धनिया पाउडर)
2 Medium Tomato (टमाटर)
1 Tsp Red Chilli Powder (लाल मिर्च पाउडर)
1/4 Tsp Black Pepper (काली मिर्च)
1/4 Tsp Chaat Masala (चाट मसाला)
1 Green Chilli (हरी मिर्च)
Salt (नमक)
Green Chutney:
1/2 Cup Coriander/Mint Leaves (धनिया/पुदीना)
1 Tbsp Roasted Chana Dal (फूटना दाल)
1/4 Tsp Cumin (जीरा)
1/4 Tsp Ginger (अद्रक)
2 Garlic Cloves (लहसुन)
1-2 Green Chilli (हरी मिर्च)
Small Lemon (निम्बू)
Ice Cube (बर्फ)
Salt (नमक)
