What an amazing experience getting so close to Tangmere powering along. We waited ages for her to come and knew it would be an impossibility to go if there was any traffic. The A65 is a horrible road once you get behind someone dawdling along there is very little places to safely over take and so there are always long slow tail backs. People never pull over to let the stream of traffic flow. So sitting in our lay by we saw streams of traffic held up by the front runner at 30 m.p.h
We had really accepted the fact we could not get moving footage. Then a heavy goods vehicle camd thundering down the road there was no way we could pull out in front of that and Tangmere was in sight or was she??? No a false alarm with the rain beating on the window I’d mistaken mist for steam. Then if by magic a break in the relentless traffic and a beast emerged from under the tunnel, Yayyyyyyy we were away!
