black cardamom (kali ilaichi) 2 large size
star anise (badian ka phool) 1 large

green cardamom (hari ilaichi) 6 - 8
bay leaves (taiz pat) 3 large size

coriander powder (Dhania powder) 1 tbs
cumin powder (zeera powder) 1 Tbs
red chili powder 1 & 1/2 Tsp or to taste

salt (namak) to taste
dried plum (aloo bukhara) 5 - 6
turmeric 1/2 tsp

for gravy:
cooking oil 1 cup
onion (pyaz) 3 - 4 medium size, 700g
ginger & garlic paste (adrak & lehson) 3tbs
mutton chops (you can also use beef or lamb)
water (pani) 3 - 4 cups or as required
tomatoes (tamatar) 3 - 4 medium size, 350g
yogurt (dahi) 1 & 1/2 cup, 350g
