As has been discussed in the recent Weekly Report (www.larouchepac.com/node/21489), no factor serves as an adequate measure for all of the leaps made in evolution and in human economics. Indeed, even when a factor does seem adequate, such as the changed metabolism between animals (which require food to survive) and human beings (which require food, but also clothing, energy, housing, etc), the energy used isn't the same kind of energy. How can we directly represent qualitative changes? In this video, Jason Ross uses Cantor's demonstration of the difference between types of infinites as an example.
