Here is DayZ running online with a horizontal surround / pseudo VR display. Don't be fooled, this is not "proper" VR. However, it's pretty damn fun. There is no stereo depth. The main advantage with this method is real head turning, way more immersion, and about a 180-degree view span with 2 monitors.
Add a SubPack for jolts when there is gunfire, explosions, or growling bears, and you've got a pretty nice combo!

NVIDIA Surround*
2 Monitors (mine are 16:10 ratio, 1920x1080 resolution each)
