I've been playing this game again the past few weeks. The original plan was to have a compilation of some of the best races and moments I have had in the past 3 weeks, but this update came around and completely changed the physics of the game, it is too big to ignore. Put simply, the game feels like it is in 2x speed. All records are being shattered, and bhops aren't even being necessary to do it. I personally am only going to play 3 lap for a bit so my speedrun times aren't unattainable if this gets reverted.

This appears to be an unintended bug from the update as you don't get this speed every time, leaving ranked to be a complete mess with some players going super fast and other at the normal old speed. It may stay this way until the next Fortnite update. If there's a time to ask for an independent client so updates can move on their own pace, it's now.

Speaking of bhops, they aren't patched out, but they don't seem to be as effective as they once were. In my experience they work best when at a high speed on the speedometer, but gradually become less effective over time. I decided not to use them here to show just how fast you can be without them.

As for the run itself, it's ok. I would like a sub 2 minute time of course but this run is solid for a day 1 time on new these new physics. This leaves the door open for others to try this route too and adopt these gameplay characteristics to other tracks.
