When we ➡️always presume competence⬅️, meaning, my autistic son IS listening to his little brother… he may not visually respond, but tomorrow, or a week later,…we may get a glimpse that he was indeed taking it in.

WHICH IS WHY as parents (or church leaders) we take ANY & EVERY opportunity to teach and proclaim the gospel… because then the ripple effect begins. The seed is planted. 🌱

For example, Levi’s church teacher knows that he has an autistic brother… but I bet she doesn’t realize that as she prepares to teach that group of 6 year olds every week… that he will remember it because of her gift of teaching and storytelling, and then go and re-tell it to his autistic brother.

Ripple effect.

Parents,… proclaim the gospel, saturate the gospel (on repeat) and trust God to do the gospel transformation in His time and in His way.

Seeds. Plant seeds. And cast wide.

For God’s glory and our good.
