With the theoretical foundation for circles and circular arcs in place (Book III of Euclid's Elements), we can begin developing techniques for adding both simple and complex curves to our designs. In this tutorial, you can learn techniques for establishing visual scales of arcs, inscribing a circular arc into a rectangle, laying out elliptical arcs, and designing piecewise circular arcs such as cyma curves, volutes, and gothic and lancet arches.
