When comparing two decimal numbers, it is important to consider the digits to the right of the decimal point as well as the digits to the left. In the case of 0.5 and 0.50, both numbers have the same digit to the left of the decimal point, which is 0.
However, when we look at the digits to the right of the decimal point, we see that 0.5 has a 5 and 0.50 has 0. We can add a zero to 0.5 so it becomes 0.50 and this doesn't change it's value. Therefore 0.5 and 0.50 are equal.0.05.
It's just like when you comparing the whole numbers, you compare the digits from left to right. If the left digits are same then you compare the next digit and so on.
