This week was all about adapting to conditions instead of forcing progress.
A cold snap rolled through North Florida, well into the lower 20's - so rather than pushing new construction, I focused on odds and ends to survive the cold and as well as actually move the project forward long-term. I rolled out the generator to keep things running & warm and finally installed gutters so I can start harvesting rainwater on site.
Not every week is about big builds — sometimes it’s about resilience, preparation, and making sure the systems are ready when you need them.
This is Episode 36 of the off-grid build.
