Improving your Backhand Slice combines a solid grip pressure with the bottom two fingers along with a smooth swing path through the ball. The Backhand Slice is a finesse shot, not a power shot, and requires you to focus more on precision and accuracy than raw power.
The inconsistencies in your Backhand Slice could be linked to you being too aggressive with the swing path. Instead, think about a smooth, fluid swing path as you lead with the bottom edge of the racquet, then line up the racquet face at the point of contact, and last, finish with the tip of the racquet pointing toward your target.
