For as long as fandom has existed, people have found creative ways to celebrate whatever it is they’re passionate about – whether it’s through off-the-wall fan-fiction, incredible fan art, or even waxing poetic about it in the YouTube comments.
But one particular act has stood the test of time as the flashiest, most elaborate and perhaps the most personal form of fan expression: cosplay.
