Описание: What if your greatest strength lies in your breadth, not your depth?

In this TEDx talk, social scientist and author Dr. Mansoor Soomro challenges the myth that success belongs mostly to specialists and experts.

If you’ve always found yourself drawn to many different things, this talk reveals why that curiosity isn’t a distraction- it’s your greatest advantage: The Generalist Advantage.

Mansoor uncovers a surprising truth in his research, not every generalist is the same. There are 4 distinct types of generalists, each with their own unique superpowers and blind spots.

This talk will help you understand what kind of generalist you are- shallow, domain, skill or ultra generalist- and how to turn that into your competitive edge in the age of AI.

With energy, humour, and personal insight, Dr. Soomro invites you to rethink how you see your career, your skills, and even yourself. Mansoor is the author of The Generalist Advantage, a best-selling leadership book focusing on the rise of generalists (as opposed to specialists) in the age of AI. He holds a PhD in Management and is a leading voice on the future of work internationally.

As a research-driven academic, he leads the Future of Work research agenda at Teesside University International Business School, UK. Prior to academia, he spent seven transformative years at Siemens, where he rose to the prestigious Siemens Managing Board- an experience that honed his global leadership perspective.

His insights and research have been featured by major media platforms including the BBC, CNN, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Fortune, Bloomberg, and Business Insider.

Today, Dr Soomro is a sought-after keynote speaker for Fortune 500 companies, known for his bold ideas, engaging delivery, and thought-provoking take on leadership in the AI age. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
