Welcome to the story in a nutshell of Geuko his adventure "The way to recover".
The beginning:
He was almost 4 years old and healthy before Geuko got attacked by a virus that caus the flu called enterovirus D68.

Within 48 hours he was paralysed from the neck down.

No doctor didn't know what to do and didn't know what it was. After 15 days we knew it was AFM (acute flaccid myelitis) and we knew he needed to go to the KKI (kennedykriegerinstitute)

He was not aloud to stay in the Netherlands because of health regulations and protocols. Not aloud to go home, to go to a rehab or even to a other department of the hospital. so they sended him to Germany. There are other rules not that tide. after 671 days from hospital to hospital, from country to country, under high exception he was aloud to go home.

after the crowdfunding Geuko could start his way to recover.

But we are not there yet.

after this journey we still need funding to pay for all the equipment, travels and other expenses. Because this condition is so rare and unknown the insurance would not pay for his recovery
